Grading - 100 Total Points Possible

Three Online Discussions - 60 points

Online Learning Investigations: (3 Investigations X 20 points each = 60 points)
A series of online learning investigations are created to reflect DESE licensure requirements. These investigations collect the latest research, anchor reference articles, presentations and other resources to study and learn about implementation strategies. Offering a combination of media-rich resources, students study two themes for each investigation: one for an original post responding to a prompt, and another in response to another student’s original post, deepening the original conversation.

Online Investigation 1 – Student Choice from Theme List
Online Investigation 2 - Student Choice from Theme List
Online Investigation 3 - AAC and AT as they apply to IDEA 2004

10 points for your original post in a topic of your choice showing understanding and addressing prompt
10 points for post in response to someone else in a different topic that deepens the conversation

Hint: You might explore several topics before selecting one. Point to these other explorations in your post for your chosen topic. This would deepen the discussion. See Rubric for evaluation guidelines

Final Project - 40 points

Discuss your Top Three Lessons Learned during the Online Investigations. Discuss the implications for your classroom and students. Describe how you would pursue implementation.

10 points = List top 3 lessons learned during investigations
5 points = Describe your students
10 points = Describe possible tools that would help address learning needs
5 points = Describe possible modifications/accommodations that might be needed
10 points = Describe professional development that you need for implementation

Hint: You are not expected to name specific solutions as an Assistive Technology Specialist might. Instead describe the type of technologies that might be helpful based on your online investigations in the class wiki. Submit your final project via email.
